Wormsloe Historic Site

Wormsloe Historic Site is found in the Isle of Hope, southeast of Savannah. The 822-acre site was part of the former Wormsloe Plantation, which was the home of Noble Jones, one of Georgia’s founders. Jones came to Savannah in 1733 along with General James Oglethorpe aboard the vessel "Anne". The historic site includes a 1.5 mile stretch of dirt road, with centuries-old mossy oak trees forming a canopy overhead.
